Building a more equitable Toronto requires sustained, city-wide action that goes beyond commitments and into meaningful change. I have introduced a motion to strengthen the City’s anti-racism efforts, deepen accountability across programs and services, and better support the organizations and community leaders doing critical anti-racism work on the ground.

I’m proud to announce that my motion, Strengthening Racial Equity in City Programs & Services (MM 40.15), was carried and that the item was adopted by City Council. Thank you to Councillor Paula Fletcher for seconding the motion, as well as the individuals, organizations and City Councillors who expressed their support.
